The ozone layer is a huge force feild that covers the Earth and blocks the altrviolet rays from the sun. The ozone can be depeted by people using machinary, the fumes from the exhaustes pollutes the Earth and creates holes in the ozone layer. If we continue to do this, the ozone layer will be completely depeted and if this happenes it will let in the altrviolet rayesand we can die from skin diseases and it will cause Global Warming.

What can do to protect rainforest?

What can do to protect rainforests?

• It will be okay if people cut down trees....... BUT  they have to re-grow the trees. We can stp these people logging and deforestating by having cotten or wool furniture not timber. WHY?  because they are softer and more comfortable. We can also stop them by making them cut down trees where animals don't live. Some of these places may include out in the wild where there are fewer animals and not as much trees where there might be a couple of trees scattered around.

Rainforests are important because the trees provide us oxygen. They are important because the oxygen is what we breathe in. If people continue to deforestate and log for the use of paper, firewood funrniture ect there will be more cabon dioxide in the air than oxygen which will cause global warming and us as humans will not survive because of the amount of carbon dioxide in the air.They are also important because hold 1/3 of the animal and plant population. More animals will become extinct because they will not have a home since people have been cutting down trees.

There are lots of rainforests in the world. These include:

The Daintree Rainforest which is found in North Queensland

The Amazon Rainforest which is found in South America

The Congo Rainforest which is found in Africa

The Southeast Asian Rainforest which is found in Southest Asia

The Madagascar Rainforest which is found in Madagascar

The Largest Rainforest is the Amazon Rainforest

The second largest Rainforest is The Daintree Rainforest

Animals in the Rainforest

Animals in the Rainforest

There are many animals in the rainforest. Some animals are Insects, Birds, Monkeys and Lepards ect.

Its hard to tell which animal lives in which layer because most animals move from layer to layer. But some animals like the Black spider-monkey may never come down from the Canopy but the Brazilian tapair will only live on the forest floor.

Gorrilas live in tropical rainforests in Africa. They mainly live in the canopy.

A rainforest has 4 layers: Forest Floor, Canopy Understory and Emergent Layer. The Forest Floor is all mushy and were all the plants grow. Some animals like the Brazilian Tapiars only live on the Forest Floor. The Understory is the Second Layer and not much animals live in the Understory. The Canopy is were the fully grown trees are. Some trees are 30+ meters. Most animals inn the rainforest live in the Canopy like Two-toed Sloth and Black Spider- Monkeys. Last but not least the Emergent Layer. this is were the tallest trees are and not many animals live there.

Day 1 What is a rainforst?

What is a rainforest?

A rainforest is a place home to half the plant and animal speices in the world. There are 2 types of rainforests: 1 being Tropical and the other being Temperate. To be a tropical rainforest it has to recieve 90-130mm of rain each year. It has to be hot and wet while Temperate is cool. They are both lush and wet.
